Rebekah is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner from Mercer Island, Washington. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Washington University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.
Originally from Arizona, Rebekah is an outspoken advocate for social justice and equality and has worked with several nonprofits including those that manage food and clothing donations, connect individuals to community resources, serve migrant populations, and specialize in providing care and housing to homeless mothers with infants.
As an RN, she has worked in long-term care, hospice, acute psychiatric stabilization, and as a Nurse Practitioner, in private practice and drug and alcohol detox. She has a passion for providing high-quality patient-centered care through empathy, understanding, and support to patients with drug and alcohol addiction, mood and thought disorders, and eating disorders.
She is optimistic and hopeful that inequity can be addressed when the highest quality level of care can be accessed by all people including patients of the LGBTQIA+ community and by those in underserved communities. She believes this can be achieved through community connectedness, respect, choice, advocacy, empowerment, and hope.
During her time away from work, she enjoys small town main streets, bookstores, antiques, cooking, math, yoga, and anything outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with her parrot Max, bearded dragon Bert, and two dogs (Henry and Bentley) and anything relating to plants and natural healing.
